Global Circularity Protocol
Brand and Design at WBCSD

The Global Circularity Protocol (GCP) is a standardized framework that helps businesses measure, improve, and communicate circularity performance in a consistent and credible way. It provides common metrics and guidance to assess impacts across materials, value chains, and business activities, enabling organizations to track progress, compare results, and scale circular solutions with confidence.

The GCP is developed through a partnership between WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development) and One Planet Network (OPN), combining WBCSD’s global business leadership with OPN’s multistakeholder expertise on sustainable consumption and production. Together, they ensure the protocol is science-based, practical, and globally aligned, supporting companies and stakeholders in accelerating the transition to a circular economy.
